Because of the relative rarity of Wilms tumor, all patients with this tumor should consider joining a clinical trial. Treatment planning by a multidisciplinary team of pediatric cancer specialists (surgeon and/or urologist, radiation oncologist, and oncologist) who have experience treating children with Wilms tumor is necessary to determine and implement optimal treatment.
